We are seeking a professional and highly motivated Security Officer to deliver a safe and secure environment at a leading, high‑profile creative industry site. This role involves protecting employees, visitors, property and assets while ensuring all activities align with site‑specific procedures and client requirements. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent awareness, strong communication skills and a proactive approach to maintaining security standards.
In this role as a Security Officer, you will be expected to provide exceptional customer service while upholding the highest standards of integrity, vigilance and helpfulness. Duties will include monitoring access to the site, conducting regular patrols, managing security systems such as CCTV and alarms and supporting day‑to‑day site operations.
Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property and information safe. That includes:
* Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
* Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
* Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
* Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
* Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
* Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
* Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
* A valid SIA licence
* Previous security or customer service experience preferred
* The right to work in the UK, with a 5‑year checkable history
* Be proactive, dependable and able to handle situations calmly and effectively
* Reliable, punctual and responsible
* Excellent IT skills, with the ability to use a PDA for reporting and completing site tours/patrols
* Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
