What you will be doing
You willlead thecapital schemeclean watermodellingcapabilitywithinthe Chief Engineer’sOfficeteam,collaboratingwithAssetManagement andOperationsto influencehow our cleanwater systems are designed,operated, and optimised.
You will translate complex model outputs into clear,risk‑basedrecommendations and play an active role in assuring modelling quality and developing capability across the team.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Deliveringtechnical excellence in water modelling using tools such asSynergi&InfoWorksWS Pro
2. Leadingthe development of solutions and testing operating scenarios for new water assets
3. Diagnosing performance issues in existing assets
4. Sharingknowledge and contributingto the continuous improvement of standards, specifications, and processes.
5. Promotinga culture of collaboration and integration, delivering exceptional service to customers, stakeholders, and the wider Anglian Water business.
What we are looking for
You will bringextensivehands‑onexperience inclean‑waternetwork modelling, along with:
6. Proven leadership in delivering complex modelling projects involving multiple stakeholders
7. Experienceofleading technical studies and interpreting system behaviour
8. Strong analytical,problem‑solving, and communication skills
9. Experience with tools such asInfoWorksWS Pro,Synergi, or similar
10. Solid hydraulic fundamentals and a genuine commitment to professional growth
11. Strong knowledge of industry context, policies, frameworks, and initiatives, including interpreting their impact on modelling priorities
12. A degree in a relevant engineering discipline or demonstrable relevant experience; Chartered status or working towards it with a professional body.
13. A collaborative mindset, with the capability to integrate into various teams, shareexpertise, and drive innovative solutions.
