First on – call cover is provided by these staff and specialists register in palliative medicine. The provision of medical staff based on the hospice being a multi-prison essential section.
Community Palliative Care Team

Hospital Palliative Care Team
Based at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, this is a well-established palliative care team consisting of 2.9 WTE clinical nurses specialists, and the consultant in palliative medicine (6 PA s ). The team has secretarial support and access to wider MDT when needed.
The re-is an active oncology service and there are good working relationships with all the surgical a nd medical specialists.

Key Duties
* Provide a comprehensive, high quality service to patients with Specialist Palliative Care needs from the Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven (A W C) health economy.
* Support clinical teams in primary and secondary care to develop and deliver high quality care to patients approaching the end of life.
* Contribute to the strategic development of palliative and end of life services across the A W C health economy, working closely with the Bradford District and Craven Palliative Care Managed Clinical Network.
* To always comply with the GMC requirements of Duties of a Doctor & Good Medical Practice.
* To ensure that patient confidentiality and information governance is maintained at all times.
* To undertake duties as defined within the job plans in a practical and i n agreement with our clinical director or manager.
* To be responsible for the clinical management of in and out patients under our care.
* Any other duties necessary for the successful performance of the role, in accordance with the grade.
