Job Description
Our client, a prominent international academic publisher, seeks a Research Integrity Assistant to collaborate with their Publishing Ethics & Integrity team across various STM journals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the team to conduct research integrity investigations.
2. Verify the integrity of authorship, content, data, and ethics statements in articles.
3. Assist the ethics team in contacting authors and reviewing files submitted by them.
4. Identify experts to advise on specific articles when needed.
5. Coordinate with the ethics and editorial teams on post-publication notices.
6. Manage confidential information with discretion, considering legal and ethical implications.
Qualifications:
1. Research background in a relevant discipline.
2. Experience in editorial assessment of scientific manuscripts for quality and integrity.
3. Strong understanding of research methods and practices.
4. Knowledge of global research and publishing ethics issues.
5. Familiarity with journal editorial standards.
6. Experience in project management.
7. Excellent numerical and verbal reasoning skills.
