We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and highly supportive primary school in the CF24 area from September. This is a full‑time position within a thriving Nursery class where children are at the heart of everything the school does.

Working closely alongside the Nursery Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing throughout the school day. You will help to create engaging learning opportunities, encourage independence and contribute to a stimulating and nurturing classroom environment.
Responsibilities
* Supporting teaching and learning across all areas of the Early Years curriculum
* Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging activities and continuous provision
* Supporting childrens communication, language and social development
* Working with individuals and small groups to develop key skills
* Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting school values
* Supporting children with personal care where required
* Observing and recording childrens progress and achievements
* Helping to maintain a safe, organised and stimulating learning environment
* Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
Qualifications
* Previous experience working within a Nursery or Early Years setting
* Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential with suitable experience)
* Strong understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Phase
* Patient, caring, energetic and enthusiastic
* Confident using own initiative and adapting to the needs of the children
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to maintaining high standards and supporting excellent outcomes for all learners
* Genuine passion for helping young children thrive during their first years of education
* Valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check required
