Job Title: Contract ProjectManager Contract Project Leader Duration: Long contract 12 months rolling Site-based with flexible start/finish times around core hours. Early finish Friday. O/T paid at a premium rate Immediate start available Are you a motivated Project Manager / Project Leader with a background supporting strategic initiatives within supply chain? If so, this will be a key, varied Supply Chain Project Management role working for a leading manufacturing business, working across engineering, purchasing, manufacturing and quality to focus on source changes, supplier transitions, and movement of work to alternative suppliers. Your key responsibilities as Supply Chain Project Lead / Project Manager will be: Leading and managing source change projects, including the relocation of production lines, parts, or products to new suppliers, domestically or internationally. Collaborating cross-functionally with Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to identify and qualify new suppliers. Developing and managing detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies. Coordinating qualification processes to validate new supplier capabilities. Tracking and reporting progress to stakeholders, escalating issues proactively and providing solutions. Conduct supplier visits or virtual assessments as needed to evaluate readiness, capacity, and technical capability. Support cost reduction initiatives by identifying alternative sources and optimising supplier performance. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for any issues encountered during transition. To succeed in this varied, project-based Supply Chain project role you will ideally be: Degree qualified in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field or have proven working experience in a similar role. Experience with supplier transitions, source changes, or outsourcing projects is a must. 3 years of experience supporting projects, supply chain operations, or manufacturing environments. Proven project skills. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Familiar with ERP/MRP/SAP systems This role will be Inside IR35 PAYE, hourly paid (Paid Holiday and O/T paid at a premium rate) Likely to suit individuals with a background as: Project Manager, Project Leader, Supply Chain Project Manager, Project Buyer, Commodity specialist, Project Purchasing, Project Manager supply Chain, engineer or similar
