Our rural location means that we are able to offer pupils plenty of outdoor space including an onsite forest school, outdoor classroom and MUGA. The school is easily commutable from both Shrewsbury and Telford. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the school, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and care Lead and support a skilled multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous development Ensure compliance with safeguarding, SEND legislation, and all regulatory requirements Champion inclusive education and the individual needs of every pupil Work closely with parents, carers, local authorities, and external agencies Develop the school's vision and long-term strategy in line with our values Identify problems and barriers to school effectiveness, and develop school improvement plans that are realistic, timely, costed and suited to the school's context Monitor progress towards achieving the school's aims and objectives Manage financial resources appropriately, efficiently and effectively What We're Looking For: Proven leadership experience within an SEN setting Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and inclusive teaching practices Excellent communication, team-building, and organisational skills A compassionate, child-centred approach and a commitment to positive behaviour support Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential and leadership qualifications (e.g., NPQH) desirable What we offer: Salary: up to £65,000 per annum bonus Company pension Health & wellbeing programme Sick pay after qualifying period Additional Information: Full time Permanent; Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 inset days Family Care is committed to safeguarding and always promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects the post holder to share this commitment.
