Team QEH has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our Medical Secretariat Team. We are looking for an Admin Assistant for the Medical Secretariat to provide assistance to PA’s, Senior Medical Secretaries and Consultants.
Previous Secretarial Experience Is Not Essential For This Post.
When sufficient qualified applicants have been received this post will be closed.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with other colleagues in the team to contribute to the smooth running of the department.
* Be well organised and able to deal with the public efficiently and politely.
* Provide assistance to PA’s, Senior Medical Secretaries and Consultants.
* Use the Patient Centre information system in accordance with Trust procedures to assist in coordination of care pathways (training will be given).
* Work to a very high standard.
* Support the adoption of the new electronic patient record (EPR) that will replace paper-based patient records from 2026 and lead to better, safer, joined-up care.
Requirements
* Typing/word processing skills desirable, though not essential.
* Desire to learn audio typing and medical terminology would be advantageous.
* Ability to work to a very high standard.
