HiQ Tyres & Autocare has an exciting new opportunity for a MOT Tester Technician to join the team in our Henley Centre.
The role is offered on a full-time permanent basis, Monday – Friday.
Salary negotiable depending on experience.
What you will be doing as a MOT Tester Technician:
* Work on all makes and models of vehicles
* Perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
* Handle brakes, tyres, and wheel alignment
* Inspect vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and exhaust systems.
* Conduct MOT tests on various types of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
* Document test results accurately and provide feedback to vehicle owners regarding any issues found.
* Stay updated on changes in MOT regulations and testing procedures.
* Always maintain health and safety standards, working within company guidelines and safe working practices.
* Complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork to a high standard
* To undertake any additional duties (within reason) for the efficient running of the Store.
* To carry out administration duties as required within the store.
* Assist in carrying out regular stock checks in accordance with Company Policy.
What you will need:
* Experience within a in a fast-fit car centre or a recognised vehicle franchise dealership.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
* A valid MOT Tester licence is essential.
* Vehicle technician qualification and relevant experience.
* Must have a full driver's licence with no more than 9 points.
