Job Title: Barista/Sales Assistant
Job Summary: The Highland Weigh is seeking a Barista/Sales Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks and other beverages, as well as providing exceptional customer service. This role will also include assisting other general duties as required.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and other beverages.
* Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive customer experience
* Handle cash and other forms of payment accurately and efficiently.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, including the coffee bar, kitchen, and seating area
* Assist with delivering orders to tables.
* Perform general cleaning duties, including washing dishes and wiping down surfaces
* Stock and replenish inventory as needed, including coffee beans, milk, and other supplies.
* Follow health and safety regulations and procedures at all times.
* Participate in training and development opportunities as required.
Desirable:
* Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role
* Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
* Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
* Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
