The post holder will be expected to participate in the Cadaveric and Living Donor Renal Transplant programme, and contribute to audit, clinical and laboratory research as required. The Unit also undertakes vascular/peritoneal access and general surgery work for dialysis patients and the post holder will be expected to contribute to this work.
The post holder might also be responsible for providing non-complex local anaesthesia vascular access procedures along with undertaking outpatient clinics at our outreach clinic based at Aintree University Hospital. Out of hours these patients will be the responsibility of the core Renal Transplant on call consultant and registrar team based at the main site (Royal).
Responsibilities
* Participate in Cadaveric and Living Donor Renal Transplant programme.
* Contribute to audit, clinical and laboratory research.
* Perform vascular/peritoneal access and general surgery work for dialysis patients.
* Provide non-complex local anaesthesia vascular access procedures.
* Run outpatient clinics at the outreach clinic based at Aintree University Hospital.
* Collaborate with on-call consultant and registrar team for out-of-hours patient care.
Qualifications
* Applicants should be on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT, CESR or European Community Rights.
* Proposed CCT/CESR (CP) date must be within 6 months of interview.
