Job Title: Finance Officer Location: Coventry Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time plus additional weeks Salary: £31,537.00 to £34,434.00 per annum (Pro rata £29,212.69 to £31,896.17 per annum) About the Role We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong financial administration skills to play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our school's finance function. You will work closely with the Finance Business Partner and Business Manager to ensure accurate financial management, compliance with policies, and effective resource planning. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with financial procedures. Process invoices, orders, and payments promptly and accurately. Assist with budget monitoring, cashflow management, and bank reconciliations. Support internal and external audits and VAT claims. Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and statements as required. Provide finance training to staff and resolve finance-related queries. What We're Looking For Qualifications: Degree or equivalent qualification (essential). Working towards a professional accountancy qualification (desirable). Experience: Financial administration within a school setting. Experience in a finance role and knowledge of financial procedures. Familiarity with PS Financials accounting package (desirable). Skills & Qualities: Strong IT skills, including spreadsheets and management information systems.
