DevOps Software Engineer – Portsmouth – 6 Month Contract – SC Cleared
About You:
As an experienced DevOps Software Engineer, your skills and experience may include;
• Experience of scripting in Python and/or Pearl
• Experience of configuration files in JSON, XML and YAML formats
• Knowledge of virtualisation and cloud computing
• Knowledge of well know Linux distributions including RedHat and Ubuntu
About Your Role:
As the DevOps Software Engineer, your role will include;
• Building container images with tools such as Podman and Docker
• Building and deploying containers in an offline environment
• Container orchestration with tools such as using Kubernetes and K3s
• Networking between containers
• Message queue libraries with tools such as ZMQ and RMQ
• Continuous integration with tools such Jenkins and Postman
• Database architecture and integration
• Interfacing with cloud environments with tools such as AWS
• You will be primarily be working with Linux OS using shell scripts and python
