About the Role
We are currently recruiting confident and experienced Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for educators who enjoy variety and are passionate about supporting students’ learning in a dynamic school environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across the full KS3–KS4 curriculum, ensuring students remain engaged, on task, and working in a positive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining high expectations at all times
Support learning across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4
Adapt learning and your approach to meet the needs of students of all abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and senior leaders
Ensure safeguarding and school policies are followed at all times
Essential Requirements
Previous experience working in an educational setting (secondary school experience strongly preferred)
Confidence delivering lessons to students aged 11–16
Ability to deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects
Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
Adaptable, resilient, and confident in different school environments
A strong understanding of inclusive practice and supporting SEN pupils
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or Unqualified Teacher
Relevant qualifications in education or a related field
Previous experience working across multiple secondary schools

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
