Job Description
We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee our company's Production, Warehousing & Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality and Health & Safety departments. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing inventory levels, and supervising the work of the department heads. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in manufacturing.As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the manufacturing facility's operations, ensuring quality, profitability, and service delivery.· Ensure the daily manufacturing schedule aligns with customer orders· Coordinate production and logistics to meet monthly targets· Implement efficient processes to optimise productivity and minimise waste· Provide clear communication to the management team about performance and opportunities· Train and support the manufacturing team to ensure growth and accountability· Monitor KPIs and take action to improve performance· Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and innovation· Oversee daily operations across production, warehousing and logistics· Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of operational efficiency.· Supervise and support the department heads, fostering a collaborative work environment.· Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs..
The Successful Applicant
· Will have preferably been working in a medium or high speed production / FMCG manufacturing environment· Qualification in Operations Management or related field· Proven experience in Operations Management within manufacturing· Good financial awareness· Strong knowledge of ERP systems· Ability to deliver results to senior management and board level· Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire teams· Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking· Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and lean methodologies· Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and lead teams.· Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
