What you’ll be doing:
* Operating the plant safely and efficiently, including start-ups, shutdowns, and emergencies.
* Monitoring the Distributed Control System (DCS) to maintain steam pressure and power production.
* Ensuring compliance with environmental permits and reporting issues to the Shift Team Leader.
* Conducting plant inspections, front-line maintenance, and fault finding.
* Assisting with operating procedures and supporting the maintenance team.
What we want from you:
* Process operations experience with knowledge of SCADA/PLC/DCS systems.
* Experience in control room operations, ideally with steam-raising plant and turbines.
* Background in industries such as Energy from Waste, Biomass, or Petrochemicals.
* Marine Engineers from Merchant Fleet or Royal Navy will be considered.
