Job Description: Domestic Services Staff at NHS Lanarkshire
Provide domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors at NHS Lanarkshire premises through effective and efficient methods, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment that meets NHS Lanarkshire and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards. Support new staff in the working environment.

What We Need From You
* Knowledge of cleaning standards and procedures.
* Willingness to undertake on-the-job training and induction (4-6 weeks) to achieve full competency.
* Understanding of health and safety practices, including risk assessment.
* Completion of NHS Lanarkshire’s mandatory training and Health Care Support Worker standards.
* Completion of NHSS Domestic Services Workbook.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work well with others and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to perform tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
* Basic knowledge of information technology.
Note: A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence is required for roles that involve driving.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
* Recognised SVQ or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in domestic services or cleaning environments.
* Knowledge of infection control, COSHH, fire safety, and other relevant systems and processes.
Contract Details
Permanent, Part-Time (9.9 hours), with salary pro-rata based on hours.
Location and Working Pattern
Based in the Domestic Services Department at University Hospital Wishaw. Shift patterns are between 6am and 10pm, depending on service needs.
