About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse to join the Live Your Life Team at Strathcarron Hospice.
The Live Your Life service is a new and innovative service at Strathcarron.
Our aim is to:
1. Open up access to hospice support, without the need for a professional referral
2. Reach more people with palliative care needs, earlier in their journey
3. Enable people with life limiting conditions to live well with their illness and shape their own support this includes support for their care partners.
You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to support effective clinical care and well-being for people living with life limiting conditions and their families. Using a goal focussed approach to care, you will provide telephone, virtual and occasional face-to-face support for people on our caseload, to support them to live as well as they can, for as long as they can.
About You
You will be an excellent communicator and have previous experience of working with people with palliative care needs. You will be registered with the NMC (Part 1).
You should have excellent organisational skills and a competency in basic IT skills is essential.
The post is subject to a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check by Disclosure Scotland.
All new employees will be subject to a probationary period of 6 months, during which performance and suitability for the role will be assessed.
