A respected principal contractor would like to appoint a new Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Manager within the business.
This will be an excellent opportunity for you to join an exciting company who are always striving for the high standards within a supportive team environment.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Leading site-based health and safety activities across multiple projects
- Managing health, safety, environmental, quality policies, procedures and management systems.
- Undertaking regular site inspections, audit, and investigation to ensure best practice is applied with the office and site, workplace environment.
- Provide company advice, reports and guidance on statutory obligations, and compliance with the company management systems which are certificated to ISO: 9001, 45001 14001
- Ensuring all works comply with current health & safety legislation and best practices
- Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Supporting the development and implementation of H&S policies and method statements
- Delivering toolbox talks, inductions, and training to site operatives and management
- Investigating and reporting incidents, ensuring lessons are learned and share
Attributes and skills:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction sector
- Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and site compliance
- Proactive, confident communicator with strong organisational skills
- Ability to influence and support both site teams and senior management with a collaborative approach.
This role is also known as - SHEQ Manager, Health & Safety Manager, HSE Manager, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, HSEQ Manager.
