Job Title: Health & Safety Manager Location: Ballykelly Contract Type: Full Time / Permanent Working Hours: 40hrs / week - Negotiable Salary: Competitive, Negotiable depending on experience Role Summary As Health & Safety Manager, you'll play a vital leadership role in embedding a proactive HSE culture within a high-performance engineering and manufacturing environment, supporting the busy production demands within a growing switchgear production facility. You will shape the company's HSE strategy, ensuring compliance and leading initiatives that protect people, the planet and performance. Main Responsibilities: Oversee the organisation's compliance with workplace safety legislation and internal protocols. Perform routine inspections across various departments and document findings. Create and review job-specific risk assessments and method statements. Recognise safety concerns and implement practical solutions to mitigate risk. Present safety-related updates and metrics at management meetings Manage investigations into on-site incidents and recommend appropriate follow-up actions. Keep all health and safety records and documentation accurate and current. Coordinate staff safety training, toolbox talks, and onboarding safety briefings. Act as the internal liaison for health and safety audits, external regulators, and third-party inspectors. Track and report on all workplace accidents, hazards, and compliance metrics. Assist in designing and testing emergency response strategies. Monitor use of protective equipment and ensure appropriate availability across teams. Develop and implement the company's HSE management systems. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and ISO standards. Drive behavioural safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead H&S training, coaching, and engagement across all departments. The Person: Minimum of 5-years relevant and dedicated senior H&S experience within a high-volume manufacturing setting. NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent safety qualification) Strong background in conducting and documenting risk assessments and incident reports. Capable of leading, developing and implementing a strong safety first people agenda. A passionate safety leader who can influence and inspire across all levels.
