We need experience identifying and managing security risks, using tools and techniques such as monitoring, detection, and encryption. Responsibilities: We design and secure architectures that protect services used by millions of people. We shape secure-by-design solutions for modern cloud-native services across a complex enterprise landscape. We lead threat mitigation and guide security decisions in collaboration with architects, engineers, and senior stakeholders. We help design and secure identity and trust capabilities that support safe access to government services. We embed security throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery and design through delivery and live service. We provide expert assurance by reviewing designs, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending improvements. We influence architecture standards, strategic roadmaps, and governance across the organisation. We act as a senior voice within the architecture community, supporting decision-making and escalating complex challenges. We define reusable security patterns that improve outcomes at scale. We mentor architects, support teams in understanding security principles, and share best practice across the wider community. We help build organisational capability and raise security maturity across DWP Digital.
