Katharine Lady Berkeley's School is seeking to expand its team of Teaching Assistants to provide support to young people with special educational needs.
The role is part-time, term-time only, at 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:20 am to 2:50 pm, including a 60-minute unpaid break. There may be some flexibility in hours for suitable candidates. The salary range is NJC Points 11-14 (£27,269 - £28,624 annually), with a pro-rata salary of £16,947 - £17,789, depending on experience, qualifications, and hours worked.
Applicants should have a basic educational background and experience working with young people. Qualifications in childcare or education and experience in intervention teaching are advantageous but not essential; transferable skills are also valued.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in supporting young people's wellbeing and development. They should be confident in supervising children within school policies and managing their time effectively with minimal supervision. Experience supporting children with SEMH is desirable.
