Are you a caring individual looking to join a nurturing team who can support Children and Young People? CAMHS is expanding! The 8‑bed inpatient High Intensity Environment/PICU at Alumhurst Road, Bournemouth is a brand‑new state‑of‑the‑art building, designed with input from young people and their families who directly benefit from the facilities. Driving is desirable as you may need to transport young people to their homes, placements, activities or medical appointments.
As a Mental Health Support Worker you will provide exceptional care to young people aged between 13 and 18 years experiencing complex mental health needs. You will have strong communication skills, be compassionate, assist in organised activities, contribute to creating a safe and supportive environment and offer emotional support. Previous experience in healthcare is desirable but not essential. The role is full‑time; part‑time applicants are welcome with a minimum of 22.5 hours per week. You will be required to work a range of flexible shifts with weekends and nights at enhanced pay.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional care to young people aged 13–18 with complex mental health conditions.
* Assist in organised activities and create a safe, supportive environment.
* Offer emotional support and help manage day‑to‑day challenges.
* Maintain accurate patient records, including data entry to the RiO patient records computer system.
* Report any complaints by young people, families and carers to trained staff on duty.
* Carry out other duties as requested by the nurse in charge.
Shift Patterns
* Early – 07:00 to 15:00
* Late – 12:00 to 20:00
* Twilight – 16:00 to 00:00
* Nights (enhanced pay) – 19:30 to 07:30
* Long days – 07:00 to 20:00
Qualifications and Requirements
* Driving licence desirable for transport duties.
* Completion of a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course required; this is a condition of engagement.
* A valid right to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship is available for this role.
