SEND Teaching Assistant Swindon - SN3 Full-Time S eptember Start We are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in the SN3 area of Swindon, who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. The Role As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and support a child with additional needs. Your focus will be on helping them access the curriculum, engage in meaningful activities both indoors and outdoors, and thrive socially and academically. This is a full-time position, continuing until the end of the academic year, with the potential for extension in the new school year. The Ideal Candidate Were looking for someone who is: Patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with the ability to respond to the childs evolving needs. Able to build a trusting and consistent relationship with the child. Confidence in following the teachers lesson plan and ensuring tasks are completed successfully. Comfortable preparing the child for transitions and changes in routine. Committed to helping the child feel safe, supported, and included in the classroom environment. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Supporting the teacher in delivering inclusive activities both inside and outside the classroom. Creating a calm and comfortable learning space for the child. Encouraging the childs social and emotional development. Using clear, concise, and literal communication. Providing a predictable routine to help reduce anxiety.
