Job Summary We are seeking a 6‑session salaried GP to join our expanding clinical workforce. Our friendly and supportive practice serves just under 28,000 patients with a strong team of 8 GP partners, 7 salaried GPs, 11 nurses/healthcare assistants, and additional ARRS colleagues. We work closely with the One Team who support housebound and care‑home patients and maintain a strong partnership within our PCN.
Location Central Basingstoke, opposite the train station, with direct access to local bus routes and the M3. The practice is a short distance from the M3, London and surrounding cities.
Job locations: Alenco Link, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG21 7AN; The Old Basing Health Centre, Manor Lane, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG24 7AE.
Main Duties
15‑minute appointments
High QOF/IIF achievement
BMA safe‑working sessions
Home visits taken by the One Team & paramedic to reduce urgent visit demand
Extended in‑house hours access
7 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave pro‑rata (includes BHs)
List holding of 250 patients per session
Part of a stable workforce: 8 partners, 7 salaried GPs, 1 paramedic & ANP, MSK physios, clinical pharmacists, mental health team, practice nurses & healthcare assistants, plus supportive reception & admin staff
In‑house education programme and mentorship, with clinical, significant event and CQC meetings throughout the year
Training practice with ST2/3 registrars and medical students
Working towards research practice status
Current list size 27,791 patients
Branch site 7 minutes drive away
All rooms equipped with dual screens
Member of the Mosaic PCN
CQC rated Good (July 2024)
Daily coffee and tea breaks for all staff
Qualifications
Medical degree recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC)
Foundation course of general training
General Practice specialist training
Registration on the GMC register
Specialised GP training in fields such as mental health, diabetes, respiratory, etc. (Desirable)
Person Specification – Experience
Essential: Experience working in large, multi‑disciplinary teams with a wide range of allied health professionals
Desirable: General Practice experience in a similar role (ST placement, salaried role, GP partner, etc.)
