The School and Role
Vision for Education are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated SEN Tutor to work in a provider of education and social care services for children and adults aged 16 plus who have a diverse range of complex needs and disabilities. As a SEN Tutor you will be teaching small groups of 16+ learners in core subjects such as English and Maths. The role will be part time 3 days a week.
In this role you will work with some of the local authorities most vulnerable young people, supporting them in developing key skills which will in turn support them in transitioning into life after education.
Responsibilities
* Teach small groups of 16+ learners in core subjects (e.g., English and Maths).
* Support students with complex needs and disabilities in a provider of education and social care services.
* Collaborate with colleagues and local authorities to support learners in developing key life skills and progression after education.
Qualifications
* Experience of working with secondary school and college aged children
* Experience of working with pupils with SEND and challenging behaviour
* A passion for the progress of SEND secondary school pupils
* An ability to work as part of a team
* QTS/QTLS
