Salary: £31,000 - 56,000 per year Requirements: We have 3–5 years experience in a network or infrastructure support role. We have strong hands-on experience with servers, networking, and security technologies. We have solid experience with virtualisation technologies, ideally VMware. We have experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and above. We have experience with Active Directory and Group Policy. We have experience with Microsoft Exchange. We have experience with Cisco switching and VLANs. We have experience with firewall technologies, preferably FortiGate. We have experience with network monitoring and printing solutions. We have experience with structured cabling, including Cat5 termination. We have a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a passion for continuous improvement. We have excellent communication skills and can explain technical concepts clearly. We have a strong customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering high-quality service. It is nice to have exposure to ERP or telephony systems. Responsibilities: We support and maintain core IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, firewalls, and backup systems. We act as a key point of contact for IT support, helping users resolve issues quickly and effectively. We monitor systems proactively to prevent issues before they arise. We contribute to the design and implementation of network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and wireless. We support and deliver IT projects alongside day-to-day operations. We manage and maintain Active Directory and other core Microsoft services. We identify and drive improvements to systems, processes, and technologies. We create and maintain clear, high-quality documentation and user guides. We provide user training and guidance to improve overall IT adoption. We take part in an on-call rota to support critical incidents, approximately one week in seven.
