Live Bird Planner

Purpose of the Role
To run the planning of a regional area, from the intake of chicks on farms, to the slaughter dates of broiler chickens.
Key Responsibilities
· Liaising with farm managers and factory planners daily to help achieve the correct product and meet factory demands.
· Handle data and information whilst working on planning systems and spreadsheets to draw up programmes for the next day.
· Distributing programmes to the farm, factory planners and transport department.
· Understand farming space and bird profiles accurately to plan total bird volumes.
· Creating/producing forward programmes, forward volumes and changing future programmes for factory promotions.
· Updating weekly programmes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and distributing by email and fax.
· Putting chick orders on Lotus Notes/ Hatchery systems.
· Group production monitoring and updating every couple of days.
· Assist in the day to day running of the live collection and transportation of live birds.
· Undertake any other duties as required to fulfil the needs of the position.
· Undertake any job-related training as required appropriate by the Company.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting.
· Being able to work under pressure in a busy environment.
· Complete tasks efficiently, precisely and within given time restraints.
· Confident communicator.
· Ability to work as part of a team as well as on initiative.
Requirements
· Experience in using Microsoft Excel.
· Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
