Leisure Assistant – Full Time Permanent Position – Role Overview Main Purpose: Ensure a high-quality, safe, and clean environment for guests using the pool, spa, shop, and activity areas, while delivering excellent overall customer service and experience. Key Responsibilities Poolside Duties: Regular testing of water quality and chemical management. Supervise swimming pool and surrounding areas for safety. Prevent accidents and respond to emergencies. Administer First Aid as needed. Follow Pool Safety Operating Procedures including admin and checklists. Dry-Side Duties: Set up/dismantle and store equipment safely. Maintain high standards of hygiene through cleaning tasks. Customer Service & Shop: Act as first point of contact for customers. Run the pool shop and relevant sales. Assist with enquiries and resolve issues with professionalism. Promote excellent customer care at all times. Identify sales opportunities and communicate with management accordingly Teamwork & Flexibility: Work collaboratively to ensure smooth daily operations. Take on additional duties as directed by the duty manager. Be flexible in shift patterns (including mornings, evenings, weekends). Person Specification Skills & Attributes: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Tactful and sensitive when dealing with customer concerns. Team-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated. Able to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks effectively. Provide consistent service with minimal supervision. Experience & Availability: Dynamic “can do” attitude. Adaptable to a wide range of tasks. Willingness to work unsocial hours and flexible shifts.
