Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Finance Business Partner to support our Transformation Programme at Newcastle University. The role will deliver high‑quality financial management, advisory support and strategic guidance to the Transformation leadership team across a varied portfolio of projects.
Key Accountabilities
* Provide financial support to the Director of Transformation and senior teams, including regular reporting and presentation of performance.
* Prepare transformation benefit cases, plans and quarterly financial forecasts to drive budget compliance.
* Implement a review process to track programme benefits and deliver actionable recommendations.
* Advise externally on financial matters across finance and transformation teams.
* Deliver financial control and ensure adherence to University policies and procedures.
* Build financial capability by delivering training and workshops.
* Collaborate with the wider Financial Performance team and other Finance colleagues to share best practice.
* Cover other Finance Business Partner roles as required.
Qualifications
* Part or qualified CCAB Accountant or equivalent standard, minimum 3 years’ experience.
* Significant experience in management accounting and reporting within a complex organisation.
* Advanced IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, SAP) and familiarity with data systems.
* Strong oral and written communication skills for financial information delivery across varying levels of understanding.
