Senior Design Engineer
Responsibilities:
* Create design requirements and identify technical risk areas.
* Deliver robust design solutions aligned to fundamental design criteria.
* Develop 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for components, assemblies, test rigs and fixtures.
* Take ownership of assemblies/components, driving design activity across multidisciplinary interfaces.
* Deliver parts, assemblies and systems from concept through to proof-of-principle.
* Generate innovative concepts with strong IP potential while considering freedom-to-operate.
Senior Design Engineer
Requirements:
* Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline, with strong industrial experience in mechanical and/or reactor system design.
* Ability to perform hand calculations to support early-stage design and validate simulation outputs.
* High proficiency in 3D CAD tools & a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
* Understanding of physical failure modes and root cause analysis techniques.
* Ability to perform structural FEA.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of high-temperature chemical reactor design.
* Experience with chemical reaction modelling or heat exchanger design.
* Experience using ANSYS Workbench or manufacturing process simulation tools.
