DAWLEY BROOK PRIMARY SCHOOL - SEND UNIT; OAK TREE MAINSCALE TEACHER; 0.5FTE WITH SEN MIN (as per DMBC Sept update) About Us: Dawley Brook Primary School is a one-form entry community primary school with a strong reputation for inclusion, care and high expectations. Working in partnership with our small but supportive community, we take collective responsibility for the success we expect of all stakeholders. Our most recent Ofsted inspection (March 2024) highlighted that: Governors and school staff share high expectations of what pupils can achieve. They become confident, motivated learners who are well prepared for their next schools and the challenges beyond. The passion for the curriculum shines through and there is a drive to have a highly bespoke curriculum, which has the rich industrial history of the local area at its heart. In September 2023, we opened our Oak Tree SEND Unit, a Local Authority commissioned specialist resource provision for children with Education, Health and Care Plans identifying communication and interaction as primary need. Oak Tree operates as an integral part of our inclusive school community: The highly inclusive culture is one of the standout features of Dawley Brook. Pupils who have struggled elsewhere thrive here (Ofsted March 2024). This academic year will see extensive Local Authority capital investment in our Oak Tree SEND Unit leading to further places being available towards the start of 2026/27. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEND Specialist Class Teacher from January 2026 to work with our wonderful part time Lead Teacher in a job share arrangement. Initially this post is for two terms, until July 2026. However, with the expansion of our SEND Unit provision, there may be opportunity to make this position permanent.
