The Role

To provide comprehensive Administrative and Clerical support to clinical and non-clinical staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service.

The Role

To provide comprehensive Administrative and Clerical support to clinical and non-clinical staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service.

The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

In This Key Role, You Will


* Day to day maintenance of departmental requirements to ensure the smooth running of the department.
* Dealing with enquiries, either face-to-face or by telephone, from the general public, patients and external agencies.
* Resolve disputed appointment times, offer new appointments and re-arrange existing appointments.
* Cash/cheque handling as appropriate in compliance with Standing Financial Instructions

What You'll Bring

* Educated to standard grade level or experience in a similar role
* Well developed interpersonal skills in customer care.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Good organisational and planning skills.
* Understanding of a range of procedures and processes.

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
