We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced QHSE Advisor to join our QHSE team. The successful candidate will work with the Head of QHSE management across two Hubs – Coalville and Northampton. Pall-Ex operate a 24/6 working operation and therefore attendance at either site may occasionally fall within unsociable hours.
Role Specific Responsibilities
* Implement, maintain, and monitor Health and Safety management systems
* Identify issues and opportunities for continual improvement and work with the team to ensure they are actioned
* Maintain legal compliance with all aspects of the QHSE systems
* Manage the internal and external audit function, schedules and complete action plans
* Conduct site visits and inspections in line with audit and company requirements
* Advise on new and current relevant legislation and its impact to the business operations
* Additional duties as required by the Head of QHSE/Quality and Compliance Director in line with the needs of the business
What we'd like from you
* Previous experience in a health and safety role in a logistics setting would be preferable
* NEBOSH Certificate
* Strong organisation and communication skills
* The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
* Integrity, professional and people focused
* Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office to produce H&S reports
Working hours
The working days are Monday to Friday, but we are looking for flexibility in working hours due to business needs.
