About us: UWE, Bristol School of Computing and Creative Technologies is a leading provider of Higher Education programmes in the West of England. We offer undergraduate courses in computer science, software engineering, cyber security, information science, digital media and games, music technology, and mathematics. Our state-of-the-art facilities support professionally focused programmes across our disciplines.
About you: Due to growth in our programmes, we are currently seeking associate lecturers to support lectures, tutorials, computer labs, project supervision, and assessment marking in data science.
Associate lecturers are contracted for a fixed number of hours within an academic year. The current full rate of remuneration is £49.70 per unit of work, covering teaching, preparation, marking, and associated activities.
We are looking for individuals with strong knowledge of core computing topics, specifically expertise in:
* Machine learning
* Data management
* Artificial intelligence
* Data visualisation and analytics
* Data mining
* Cloud computing
* Natural language processing
* User experience and design
Applicants should have a relevant postgraduate qualification, preferably at PhD level, and some experience working in a higher education environment.
