Personal Care Teaching Assistant
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible options available)
Salary: 92.63- 100 per day, dependant on experience
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs in a welcoming school environment in Northampton. This role involves both classroom support and assisting with personal care, ensuring students can fully access education in a safe and supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN)
* Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene
* Support students with mobility and physical needs
* Help implement individual education plans (IEPs)
* Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to monitor progress
* Promote independence, dignity, and well-being at all times
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people is preferred
* Willingness to provide personal care support
* Patient, empathetic, and positive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
