Our client, a respected civil engineering and construction contractor operating across Scotland, is seeking a detail-driven and commercially aware Planner to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to shape project delivery from pre-construction through to completion, with a negotiable salary based on experience and a strong pipeline of upcoming work.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using industry-standard planning software
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure realistic timelines and resource allocation
* Monitor progress against baseline schedules and identify potential delays or risks
* Prepare progress reports and support project reviews with accurate forecasting
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure programme alignment
* Contribute to tender planning and bid submissions with robust time and resource estimates
* Support change management processes and update programmes accordingly
What You Bring
* Proven experience as a Planner within construction or civil engineering
* Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
* Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and resource planning
* Excellent analytical and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple programmes
* Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field
