Reuters Events, a dynamic and fast-growing part of Thomson Reuters, is seeking a Delegate Relations Lead to join our Delegate Sales team. We deliver world-class conferences and strategic content across a wide range of industries—from energy and pharma to finance, legal, and automotive—bringing together senior executives and thought leaders from around the globe.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving delegate revenue through consultative sales and outbound partnerships. You’ll build and nurture relationships with VIPs and senior stakeholders, ensuring a high-value onsite experience that fosters peer-to-peer networking and long-term engagement.
About the Role
As a Delegate Relations Lead within Reuters Events, you will:
Lead Generation & Sales Funnel Management
1. Build and maintain a focused target account list in collaboration with Conference Producers, using LinkedIn, company research, and industry news.
2. Source, qualify, and nurture leads through the sales funnel, ensuring accurate Salesforce CRM upkeep.
3. Re-engage past delegates and speaker contacts to drive repeat attendance.
VIP Acquisition & Relationship Building
4. Develop and execute a VIP acquisition and nurturing plan aligned with event milestones, supported by the Sector Head and Head of Delegate Sales.
5. Identify and source VIPs based on event criteria, tailoring outreach via email, LinkedIn, calls, and referrals.
6. Send personalized invitations, manage RSVPs, and ensure high-value onsite engagement and networking.
7. Maintain ongoing relationships with VIPs and industry groups to enhance delegate experience and retention.
Event Collaboration & Strategic Insight
8. Work closely with Conference Producers and Sector Heads to meet delegate mix targets and ensure a balanced vendor/end-user ratio.
9. Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to identify attendee growth areas and optimize outbound focus based on booking patterns.
10. Provide insights into industry challenges and investment trends to support onsite sponsor introductions and strategic networking.
Onsite Engagement & Post-Event Follow-Up
11. Manage face-to-face VIP engagement during events, ensuring meaningful interactions with sponsors and other stakeholders.
12. Follow through on nurture processes to secure attendance and post-event relationship continuity.
About You
To be our Delegate Relations Lead, you will likely have:
13. Minimum 1 year of outbound B2B sales experience in an events environment
14. Proven track record of engaging with C-level executives and senior decision makers
15. Partnership development experience with focus on relationship building and lead conversion
16. Outbound prospecting expertise across multiple channels (LinkedIn, email, phone, referrals
17. Lead qualification and nurturing capabilities
18. Pipeline management and revenue forecasting
19. Cross-functional collaboration abilities (working with marketing, sales teams, content teams)
20. Event industry experience preferred, with understanding of delegate/attendee acquisition
21. CRM and data management experience preferred (specifically Salesforce
