Orbis Education and Care are seeking a dedicated and passionate support worker to join our compassionate and enthusiastic team at our Ty Galan Home. Our goal at Ty Galan is to support and nurture the young people in our care while they transition into adulthood.

About Ty Galan
Ty Galan is a 3-bed home located in Porth, Rhondda Cynon Taff, supporting young adults as they transition into adulthood.
Position: Support Worker
As a Support Worker at Ty Galan, you will support our residents' daily activities, additional needs, and personal development. You will work closely with a team including therapists and other support workers to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide personalised care to each person, including personal care, learning, and social interactions.
* Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring emotional and physical well-being.
* Implement individualised care plans under the guidance of supportive senior staff.
* Support residents during recreational activities, outings, and community integration.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in collaboration with the team.
* Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence, celebrating achievements and milestones.
Please note: This role involves regulated activity with young people and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
Requirements
* A compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.
* Resilience and patience to adapt to individual needs.
* Willingness to learn and follow team guidance.
* Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and nights if needed.
* Full UK Driving Licence is preferred but not essential.
