Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (standard)
About the role:
We currently have a fixed term Medical Laboratory Assistant position covering maternity.
This is an MLA role within a hub laboratory covering 5 different hospitals, providing Blood transfusion, chemistry and Haematology analysis on site. Involves sample receipt, pre analytical processing dependent on candidate you may be trained to load analysers with Patient Samples and take part in Quality Control testing alongside BMS staff.
MLA's take part in a shift rota with the shift times detailed below
Late shift 12:45pm till 9pm
Mid shift 10:45 till 7pm
Normal Shift 9am till 5:15pm.
Requirement to take part in Saturday Rota (12pm-5pm) which is paid as overtime and shared among the MLA's
