Volunteer Local Advisory Board Member (Governor) | East Midlands Academy Trust
Join the East Midlands Academy Trust as a Volunteer Local Advisory Board Member (Governor) and support our schools in providing the best education possible.
Can you support and challenge our school leaders to help every child be the best they can be?
What difference will you make?
The local layer of governance is key to our schools' success. We rely heavily on the Local Advisory Board to give strategic guidance and local insight and continue our trajectory of improvement. LAB members build strong relationships with the schools and their community and have opportunities to liaise directly with the trust board.
What are we looking for?
Full training will be given so previous experience of governance is not essential. We need volunteers that have a true interest in supporting education and are able to commit to the time requirements of the role.
What will you be doing?
Are you a local Northampton based individual that has work and life experience to bring to the governance of 3 primary schools in the city? We are looking for committed, enthusiastic people that are willing to learn about our school communities and hold our senior leaders to account in a positive and supportive way.

* Building strong relationships with schools and their community
* Liaising directly with the trust board
Requirements:
