My client is a well-established luxury fashion business designing and manufacturing high end clothing from their production facility in Harlaxton. They are now looking to recruit Assistant Manufacturing Production Manager to join their rapidly expanding team.
This is a development and succession role, created with the intention that the successful candidate will progress to Production Manager within approximately 2 years, subject to performance and business growth.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will support and gradually take increased responsibility for the end-to-end production of individual luxury garments, ensuring 100% on-time delivery and uncompromising quality standards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a manufacturing / studio based environment and wishes to build a long-term career in luxury garment production and management.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and progressively take ownership of fabric and raw material planning, placing and progressing orders to meet production deadlines, and managing supplier relationships.
* Assist with production scheduling and marker creation, working closely with the Cutting and Make departments to ensure priorities are clear and output targets are met.
* Ensure cut work is completed and dispatched to outworkers in a timely manner, monitoring progress and chasing outstanding work as required.
* Support the procurement of externally sourced finished products including dresses, bags, accessories and packaging materials.
* Assist with import and export logistics, including shipping documentation and coordination.
* Track and manage workflow through internal production systems, maintaining accurate data and preparing regular production reports.
* Support staff motivation, coordination and day-to-day operational management within the production team.
* Assist with stockist and customer communication, responding to queries and supporting key relationships.
Candidate Profile
This role will suit an individual who is ambitious, organised and committed to developing into a senior production leadership role within the UK luxury fashion industry.
You will typically have:
* A strong, hands-on background in garment manufacturing
* A good understanding of the full production lifecycle, from fabric sourcing through to finished product and distribution
* A methodical approach, with the ability to prioritise an ever-changing workload
* The confidence to support and influence teams while continuing to learn and develop as a leader
