Operations Administrator

Permanent, 40 hours per week
Salary of £25,225.25 plus benefits
Serco have an exciting opportunity to join their team as Operations Administrator at the IFTC in Durham.
You’ll be ensuring that all operational aspects are managed and reported on in a manner compliant with statutory obligations and Serco’s group standards. The post holder will work closely with colleagues, managers and stakeholders to deliver a well-managed and compliant operation.
Main Accountabilities:
* Providing dedicated operational administrative support to Technical IFTC management:
* Uploading data to central incident platform
* Monitoring and managing the review of Health and Safety related assessments
* Maintaining and updating multiple operational excel spreadsheets/online portals
* Take a pro-active role within the fireground, motor transport and facilities departments; liaising with the suppliers and contractors and generally being fully conversant with the departmental aims and objectives.
* Assist in ensuring IFTC Local Operating Procedures (LOP’s) are created, reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
* Any ad-hoc duties as requested by the Head of Compliance & Technical Services
What you’ll need to do the role:
* Ability to take a systematic approach to their workload
* Proven experience in an administrative role.
* Able to use a variety of communication methods (spoken, written, behaviour).
* Problem solving skills.
* Must be methodical, have proven organisational skills and able to work under pressure.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks.
* It is essential that the successful candidate is PC literate, MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel.
