We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team in London. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' facilities and equipment.
Job Summary:
We're looking for a talented and versatile Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of plant, equipment, and building services. If you have a strong background in manufacturing maintenance, electrical and mechanical competences, and a passion for problem-solving, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and manage risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving equipment performance
2. Conduct fault-finding on all types of machinery, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
3. Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department, working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes
4. Write and follow risk assessments and method statements, ensuring a safe and accurate working environment
5. Use mobile devices to accurately project and complete works from the CAFM maintenance system
6. Liaise with onsite site services to manage building services-related issues
7. Deputise for the shift leader during annual leave or sickness
8. Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends
Requirements:
9. Recognised or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering
10. Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance experience
11. Electrical competences to a minimum of City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualifications to 17th Edition
12. Mechanical competences to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's Mechanical
13. Good multi-skilled ability, with experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters
14. Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
15. Ability to fault-find and diagnose PLC systems
16. NVQ qualifications to Level 2, Electrical and Mechanical
17. Ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements
Desirable:
18. Working at height qualification
19. IPAF certification
20. AP qualifications
21. Experience of heavy engineering
