As an SEMH Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEMH challenges. Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment that promotes emotional wellbeing and academic progress. Collaborate closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff to implement personalised learning and behaviour plans. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage motivation, confidence, and resilience. Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs. To be an SEMH T eacher, you’ll require : UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory. Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (preferred). Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to teaching and learning. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
