Located beside the River Lagan in Lisburn, Rosevale Lodge Care Home is a purpose-built facility offering specialist care for up to 68 residents living with dementia. The home is divided into Dementia Nursing and Dementia Residential units to provide tailored, person-centred care. Visitors and team members alike can expect a warm and friendly welcome in a home that values relationships and compassionate support.

The Role
You will provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity. As a Care Assistant, you will support day-to-day operations, assist with activities of daily living, and provide emotional support and companionship to residents. You will advocate for the rights and preferences of residents and collaborate with the nursing and healthcare team to monitor wellbeing and report changes.
Main Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
* Help residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities.
* Assist with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.
* Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents’ well-being and reporting any changes in health or behaviour.
* Follow care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
* Ensure a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.

Requirements
* Right to work in the UK
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* A good standard of oral and written English
* A non-judgemental approach to others
* Excellent communication skills with the compassion required to deliver high-quality care
* Respectful to residents and to the values and beliefs of other team members
Desired Criteria
* QCF/NVQ Level 2 is desirable but not essential
* Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided
