Are you someone who thrives on making a real difference, even whenthe work is challenging? We’re looking for compassionate, resilient,and patient individuals to join our team in a unique one-to-onesupport role with a woman who lives independently in her own home.
This is not your average support role. You’ll be supporting a womanwith autism and a learning disability who communicates non-verbally.She enjoys walks, day trips, and engaging activities at home — andyou’ll be instrumental in helping her live the life she chooses.You’ll need to be creative and intuitive, finding ways to connect andengage in ways that make sense to her.
What you’ll be doing:
* Providing personalised, one-to-one support in her home and in the community
* Supporting with all aspects of daily life, including intimatepersonal care
* Driving her (in her own vehicle) to activities, appointments, andday trips
* Planning and delivering meaningful, tailored activities
* Lone working and completing sleep-ins (note: she may wake around4am regularly)
* Managing behaviours that can challenge
About you:
* You’re a confident, calm, and caring person who doesn’t shy awayfrom a challenge
* You’re a driver with a valid UK license (essential)
* You’re able to think on your feet, problem-solve, and staypositive under pressure
* You have the resilience and empathy to support someone whocommunicates differently and needs you to advocate for them
