Role Overview
You will play a crucial role in conducting surveys, collecting data, and producing maps using various tools and software. The role requires travel to London and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
The scope of this role involves carrying out physical checks and surveys of all underground services within the investigation area. The service locator will:
* Use geophysical techniques to locate services.
* Mark or spray paint located services onto the ground in appropriate colours, indicating type and depth.
* Authorize permits and ensure compliance with project procedures.
* Review method statements and take photographs as required.
* Mark all services within work boundaries to maintain colour standards.
* Provide overviews of services to work teams and discuss working methods.
* Implement safety checklists and enforce exclusion zones.
* Obtain necessary signatures for permits and update records of services.
* Investigate uncharted services and update drawings accordingly.
* Ensure permits are valid and maintained during the project duration.
Requirements
* Minimum of 2-3 years of utility surveying experience.
* Familiarity with Electromagnetic location and ground penetrating radar.
* Understanding of industry standards like PAS 128 and TSA.
* Proficient with surveying equipment such as GPR, CAT, and Genny tools.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills, with on-site client interaction.
* Valid full manual driving license.
Desirable Qualifications
* CSCS Card (to be obtained before starting).
* QCF Level 3 or 5 in utility mapping.
