Vehicle Technician / Garage Mechanic Required for Family Run Service Centre in Great Bookham, Surrey.
We are currently seeking to recruit a fully qualified Vehicle Mechanic to join our client’s busy Automotive Workshop in Great Bookham, Surrey.
The position is based on Monday - Friday 8:30 – 6.00pm with Saturdays on a 1 in 4 Rota basis.
As an experienced individual, you will be skilled in all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing, and have a good understanding of diagnostics and electronics.
Key Responsibilities in this Vehicle Technician role:
4. Carry out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and maintenance of company and private vehicles as scheduled or required with due regard to quality procedures.
5. Servicing, Clutches, Timing Belts / Chains
6. Comply with health, safety and environmental legislation and policies
7. All makes and models general diagnostics
8. Assist with other duties as required
Essential Skills of the successful Vehicle Technician:
9. Must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
10. Experienced in carrying out all classes of skilled work involving inspection and maintenance
11. Experienced with modern diagnostic equipment and vehicle technology
12. Preferably qualified to carry out Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties
13. Computer & Electrical literate
14. Has own tools and able to work self sufficiently in a workshop environment.
The successful Mechanic / Vehicle Technician will ideally live within Great Bookham or be able to travel to the Great Bookham area and be qualified to City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent.
