Fantastic opportunity for a Hygienist to join our established orthodontic specialist practice, Portman Smile Clinic in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
Located in central Bicester our Portman Smile Clinic is a modern, purpose-built specialist practice providing care for both NHS and private patients. As a Specialist Orthodontic clinic we offer a range of orthodontic treatments and also have a Private GDP and Implant Dentist onsite. We are now seeking a skilled and experienced Hygienist to compliment the team and offer a direct access service.
The opportunity
* This is a highly autonomous role and as such is ideal for a Hygienist who wants to lead the service and receive all internal referrals and direct access patients as the only Hygienist onsite
* This role will become weekly, but will start 1 day per month as we build the diaries together growing slowly to eg bi weekly then weekly
* Surgery space available on Mondays only
* Nurse support available
* The patient base will be wide and varied from those who need Hygiene appointments to support their orthodontic journey, to those who aren’t having any orthodontic treatment but want access to a high quality Hygiene service in central Bicester
* The practice is large and modern having been recently built, with 3 surgeries and a fantastic clinical team
* We have an established referral network of practices with local patients and those travelling in from Aylesbury and Northamptonshire
* The clinical team have high quality support from our experienced Nurses, Treatment Coordinator support and the Practice Manager with 10 plus years experience in the sector
* Centrally located the practice is easy to access within walking distance from the train stations, Bicester Village and Bicester North and has parking options close by
Essential:
For this role we require a GDC registered Hygienist / Dental Therapist happy to work as a Hygienist who has experience of direct access
It is essential you have 1) Indemnity for direct access 2) radiography and 3) will have done exemptions training
You will be someone who is both professional and personable. A team player who is proactive and accountable, taking pride in your work and wanting to be part of a positive team environment.
Available to work Mondays - as this is when we have surgery space
Desirable: If you have experience of working in a specialist practice with orthodontists previously, and or, have experience of building a Hygienist service within a practice please do highlight this within your application.
